How Listings Work

Where Listings Come From

Many listings start from public business records, such as Nevada State Contractors Board license data. Owners can also add a business that isn't listed yet. Until an owner claims it, a listing shows only the public details we have.

Adding or Claiming a Listing

Owners start on the Add Your Business page. As you type the name and phone number, we look for a listing that's already here and offer to let you claim it, so you don't end up with two.

To confirm you run the business, we use one of these:

Once it's yours, you can update contact details, hours, areas served, services, photos and answers to common questions from your dashboard.

Who Can Be Listed

Business Near Me lists local businesses that serve the public. We don't list:

The details are in our terms. We decide this by the type of business, never by who owns it.

Reviews

Reviews come from people who confirmed their email address, and they follow our Review Policy. Owners can reply to reviews and report ones that break the rules, but can't edit or delete them.

Closed or Wrong Listings

If a listing nobody has claimed is closed or wrong, use the Request Removal link on that listing. Owners can fix their own listing after claiming it.

Listing is free. A Paid Profile is $29 a month or $290 a year and adds:

Paid placement is always labeled, and it has no effect on reviews or ratings. Owners can upgrade from their dashboard after claiming a listing.

$299 Business Websites

We build a one-page website for your business for $299, using the details from your listing, then host and look after it for $29 a month on a 12-month term. Owners choose a design and order it from their dashboard after claiming a listing. See the templates and the full price on Business Websites.
