Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to find and use local businesses on BusinessNearMe.info. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What We Do
- Text and button colors are chosen to meet WCAG contrast ratios.
- Every form field has a label, and we build pages to work with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Buttons and links are sized for touch on phones.
- Directory and listing pages also come as plain text (Markdown) for assistive tools and AI agents.
Known Limits
- Photos uploaded by business owners may not have full descriptions.
- Maps are visual; each listing also shows its address and area as text.
